Loses connection or crashes frequently.

I have had a sling box since their first box, which I still have, and it works fine. Also have a newer Singbox HD Pro. This product requires Internet/ wifi skills. From time to time you will have to configure your router to enable it to communicate with your sling box. But, the product works beautifully, and delivers full cable service anywhere you have web service. You can allow any friend, someone traveling perhaps in a remote, no tv available, location to access your box and watch your full cable offering. I recently did this for a law partner, while he was stuck in a remote rural Chinese town. Even though you can now get other TV content over the web, including select cable offerings, nothing yet replaces sling box, as most of these others will be blocked when you are out of the US.

I just reached my vacation home and was looking forward to using my Slingbox with a Roku3. I installed Rokus Slingbox channel. Then learmed that I needed to purchase a $15 App for my Iphone. I bought the App and set it up and learned about the rube-goldberg setup. The results were poor with all Hd reduced to Poor sd and constant pauses to cache the stream. I expected the Roku to connect via Internet to my home Slingbox. Instead, the iphone connects to the Internet via wifi, then streams the video to the Roku via IR. The interface is a poor match for an Xfinity X1 system. It works but yuck. Save your money until Roku offers a proper channel for Slingbox and leaves the Iphone out of it. Also, if I want to use an Ipad to control the setup, I need to pay $15 again.

I have an iPhone 5s everything was working perfectly fine for about a month. Now every time I try to cast to my chromecast device the app says to check internet connection. This is a bug! not my internet connection which is high speed connection on both ends. You guys need to make an update this is unacceptable I paid $15 for the app and it doesnt work for chromecast

I dont know if there was an update, or what happened, but this thing is working like a charm! I love it!

Does not support multi tasking and does not minimize the video screen to work something else while watching something. When trying to multi task it blackens the screen. Also if I try to record a show on a different channel it wont give me that option either. Can you support these items?

Watching in SD inverts colors. Non existent support.

Cant live without my sling player. Its a great app.

Very impressed. I use this all the time. You have to have good internet at home though. You have that and youre set. I use this on my iPhone 6 Plus (without wifi mostly) iPad and MacBook Pro. Works great without hardly any interruptions.

Airplay is aweful. Basically unusable. Please make an app for the new Apple TV. No excuse now.

There is an issue with the app. When I had this slingbox hooked up to my note 4 everything worked perfectly. Now that I switched to an iPhone 6, the colors on standard mode are off. Everything is blue. Please fix

From when I first got my first Slingbox roughly 8 years ago and fired up the app for the first time, to all the way to now. There have been certainly lots of improvements. Theres still the occasional stutter and blank screen but they are rare now. Its still a data hog. One suggestion, I know this app works best on landscape mode but please support portrait mode for those rare occasions when landscape doesnt work for me. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Ive owned a sling box since the first year they came out. The first box I bought had to be upgraded to work with apps but that was years after I bought it. Have had this new one for several years now and still enjoy it tremendously. Literally you watch whatever you watch on tv at home. I put my box near router and on a tv not used by family in the office. When Im away I can watch tv without interrupting anyone else. You cant go wrong with slingbox. Even if you are near a computer just go to Slingbox.com and sign in. They really make it easy.

This is a great app. It will work best with new slingbox models..I have the 500 model. I stream all day in my phone, now that T-mobile let you stream for free.

I hooked up an HD-Pro to the outdoor antenna and viola I have TV on my phone. Very fast connection and almost perfect playback. Great quality. Im using this on my home wifi so I havent tried over cellular data yet, but so far so good. A one time fee of $15 books is cheap compared to what satellite and cable want. The company has to make some money to keep providing a great service. Very happy.

Have two, wifes uses iPad while getting ready and never misses a favorite show while traveling, Im able to watch my golf when I travel on the weekend....

Can watch my cable box anywhere.
