SlingPlayer for iPhone App Reviews

SlingPlayer in iOS 10 widget does not show My Favorite Channels. All channels are not able to access program data. The app itself is an solid app. Just the widget is buggy.

...since I updated my phone to iOS 10...very frustrating.

Both of these problems are overwhelming, needs urgent fixing!...

Does everything I need it to do! Thanks for the great product

Slingbox always makes things harder than they need to be, and their products dont work as well as youd hope.

Controls coukd be a bit better integrated

The ability to access my tv from anywhere in the world is amazing. But it also has some smaller benefits like being up late and wanting to watch a show without disturbing others in the household. Love it.

So recently (the last few months) the app has been skipping repasting the last 2 seconds 10 times until I turn the app off. O wonder if Sling even uses the app to see all of the bugs. It has happened 7 times just today

I feel like l have conquered Mount Everest! I said to myself, the day that l would be able to watch what I watch on my TV set, on my mobile handheld, that would be the greatest tech. achievement that I have witness!!! Lots of buffering & weak signals but its the best out there! so far? Thanks Slingbox

I will never buy another thing from these thieves. They put commercials in their products. Never mind that you paid a hefty price for their product in the first place. Then, they are lazy about innovation: no picture in picture, no multitasking. They have you once youve spent heavy money on the hardware and software. Why should they work to earn your trust and already spent money? These are thieves. Dont support their greed and laziness.

Love the app very smooth and really cool that I can watch my tv on my computer, IPad, and IPhone. Loving the app since sling box started since 2011 I wanna say. But Im enjoying this amazing creation that is sling box over the years.

Ive had a slingbox for 8+ years now and Ive always loved it. Everyone was always amazed at how I watched tv on my laptop and eventually phone!

Has always worked great. Since ios10 not so much. One of many problems is when you pause video or fast forward , the screen freezes. You have to go out of the app and open it again to get video.

Best solution for remote TV away from home

SlingPlayer is the best way to watch the broadest selection of TV on the go. Will rate it 5 stars when the incidence of freezing and blurring improves. Overall I love it!

Use app all the time to watch a 2nd game or whatever.

Will not work my iphone 6+ w/ios 10 and newest update. Freezes, cant change channels, buffers once then its frozen. Not usable. Not sure if it has to do with the 64 bit issue that Apple has said all app developers must accommodate or not, but what ever the reason, this paid customer would appreciate it if this gets fixed. What am i suppose to do while in the bathroom! Hahaha!

I replaced my sling box HD with Slingbox 500. It uses an HDMI input and output which initially caused the problem because my cable box has HD CP protection. I found an HDMI splitter call View HD on Amazon for approximately $20 which incorporates HTC P and allow the Slingbox to play all channels including the pay channels. The quality is outstanding and its very easy to set up.

User of SlingPlayer for over 10 years and was very happy until iOS 10 has made it unusable. Tech support aware of this since late September and unacceptable not to have fix yet on October 13th. Beta versions of iOS 10 were available to developers long before the official release. I check daily for the fix! The sep 13 update not a fix!!!!

Ive tried numerous times to create an account to log in without success. Keep getting an error message without any options for assistance. Waste of $15.
